To celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival, a special Zongzi DIY competition was held in Chongqing Aoyuan·City of Health.
With the supplied ingredients such as bamboo leaves, meats and sticky rice, the participating home owners started to make their own Zongzi. Some participants even said it was the first time for them to make Zongzi. They all appeared to be appreciated and enjoyable during the competition. The singing and dancing performance by the organiser also significantly impressed the 200 presented clients.
After a two-hour competition, the winners were awarded as the Best Modeling, the Best Corporation and the Fasted Marker. The participants go home not only with their self-made Zongzi, but also with the wishes from Chongqing Aoyuan.
With the fast accelerating development of our modern social-economic life, people pay less attention to our traditional festivals. Many unique customs are gradually being forgotten. To prevent this from happening, Chongqing Aoyuan set up this Zongzi DIY Competition to redraw people’s attention on Chinese traditional culture.
